Description
Zematra has developed an improved version of the Total Sediment Test. This test method covers the determination of total sediment up to 0.40% m/m for distillate fuel oils containing residual components and to 0.50% m/m in residual fuel oils having a maximum viscosity of 55 cSt at 100°C.
The Zematra Sediment Tester is a bench model which can consists of two, four or six filtration cells, vacuum circuit with gauge and integrated cooling/heating circuit. Each cup is equipped with a sintered brass disc to support the microfibre filters.
The Zematra 4 position Fuel Oil Ageing Bath is used for the accelerated ageing of residual fuel oils, which combined with the hot filtration test, permit the prediction of fuel oil stability to sedimentation during storage and handling.
The bath is a bench model which consists of 4 air wells for 2 duplicate tests (larger models are available). Air condensors, stoppers, 50 ml conical flasks and a ASTM 22C thermometer are included with the bath.
