Total Sediment Tester
The Zematra Total Sediment Tester is an high-precision benchtop instrument built for the accurate quantification of insoluble substances in distillate and residual fuel oils. It ensures strict compliance with marine fuel standards ISO 8217, and core testing protocols ASTM D4870, IP 375, and ISO 10307.
Available in 2, 4, or 6-position configurations, it includes an integrated vacuum circuit and cooling/heating system. The tester accurately measures total sediment up to 0.50% m/m in residual fuels, accommodating viscosities up to 55 mm²/s at 100 °C.
To create a complete testing system, complementary equipment (like the vacuum pump and balance) is available. For sample preparation, an optional Aging Bath (6 or 15 positions) is offered for thermal treatment and accelerated aging protocols (per IP 390/Test Appendix).
